Our class has earned another class party by filling up our marble jar. The class party will take place this Friday, January 30th. The class has voted on having a breakfast party (I will bring in glazed donuts, kolaches, and orange juice for them) and bringing two items from home.

Also, Please help us have a wonderful Valentine's Day
party in class by donating the following items below. This party will be held
at the end of the day on February 13th and will only be for the students. We
will have other celebrations in the near future that we would love for you to

Language Arts- syllable patterns; adverbs that
tell when and where; vowel digraphs oo, ue, ew, ui; adverbs that tell how
Reading- plot and theme, monitor and clarify
Math- finding halves, find patterns for
doubling and halving, solve “what’s my rule?” problems for doubling and
halving, calculate dollar and coin amounts, estimate weight, compare numbers,
collect and record data, compare inches and centimeters, find median in a set of
numbers, use frequency tables, line plots, use graphs to answer questions and
draw conclusions
Science- investigating the effect of an
object by increasing or decreasing sound energ
Social Studies- 100th Day, introduction
into biographies, discussing your personal history, Groundhog Day
